What Israel Faces

Posted by KingShamus on November 20, 2012

Maetenloch over at Ace of Spades gives us a little of that perspective stuff I keep hearing about these days.

I wonder how Perth Amboy, Hempstead, Mahwah or Manhattan would react if they had to live under the threat of 275 rockets and mortars in the five days since lead Hamas dirtbag Ahmed Jabari was given an unexpectedly awesome dirt nap.  Ponder the possible reaction of those sleepy little burgs if they had to deal with 451 separate rocket/mortar attacks in the last 8 months. Does anybody think there would be any talk of ‘proportionality’ if Americans were the ones getting explosive devices thrown at their homes and workplaces?

If it was happening in the States, Andrew Cuomo would be talking to his dad about getting some Bonnano crime family goombas to push a few buttons on the terrorists.  In an instant, Nurse Bloomberg could deploy his sign language interpreter to bore the shit out of Hamas.  It’d be fun to see Chris Christie waddle for the TV cameras in his action-man fleece bellowing for Obama to give him nuclear launch codes.

But instead, it’s Israel, so nobody cares.

In fact, the world eagerly awaits the opportunity to cluck it’s tongue and make concern-troll noises when and if Israel prepares to put boots on the ground in Gaza.

Whatever.

Easiest Prediction Ever:  The entire panoply of kleptocrats, military strongmen and anti-democratic monarchs in the Middle East will publicly condemn the Israelis if they invade Gaza, while in private many Arab regimes will wildly celebrate the violent de-fanging of the Iranian-backed, Turkey-supported Hamas.

Fuck the international hater’s chorus.  The bankrolled anti-Semites, the Islamo-Nazis and the thumbsucker Left all need a hefty dose of reality.  Do what has to be done, Israel.

Do it fast, do it effectively and finish it.

Once Hamas is gone, maybe then the Gazans will be ready for peace.  Perhaps then the Gazans see the stupidity of letting a terrorist group represent them.  Hopefully Muslim Brotherhood-controlled Egypt will see that it doesn’t stand a chance in a ground war with Israel and will face reality rather than indulge their idiotic United States of Islamic Caliphate fantasies.

Iran, Israel, Turkey, America: The Coming Train-Wreck

Posted by KingShamus on June 9, 2010

Well, the anti-Israel bias coming out of the Obama White House is getting so intense even al-Reuters is starting to notice.

Under President Barack Obama, the United States no longer provides Israel with automatic support at the United Nations where the Jewish state faces a constant barrage of criticism and condemnation.

The subtle but noticeable shift in the U.S. approach to its Middle East ally comes amid what some analysts describe as one of the most serious crises in U.S.-Israeli relations in years.

Under Obama, the United States seeks to reclaim its role as an impartial Middle East peace broker which critics say it lost during the previous administration of George W. Bush.

“Israel became used to unconditional support of the United States during eight years of the Bush administration,” said Marina Ottaway, director of the Middle East Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington.

But at least the Obama Admenstruation is giving Israel some much needed support.

However, Washington continues to block what it sees as efforts to use the United Nations as a forum for bashing Israel — which one U.S. official told Reuters was “nine out of 10 initiatives regarding Israel in New York.”

So the UN can only blood libel the Israelis a little bit. That’s…great…I guess.

But really, St. Barry is truly doing an awful lot to help out our best Middle Eastern ally.

Obama has also pushed hard to get a fourth round of U.N. Security Council sanctions against Tehran over its nuclear program, which Israel sees as its top security threats. A vote on new Iran sanctions is expected this week.

Wow.More weak-piss fake-o-la UN sanctions. For a country-Iran-that has never given a fuck about UN sanctions. President SmartiePantsDiplomacyDude sure has an uncanny knack for giving American allies exactly what they don’t need. Next American gift for Israel: An IPod full of Barack Obama’s speeches.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Middle East seems to be coming unglued. As Ken over at the Conservative Hideout notes, Iran is threatening to give naval cover to the next Gaza flotilla of Missiles/Peace. The fact that Iran can even make that threat speaks to just how weak the American-Israel alliance is seen by the douchebag Iranian mullahs.

Will Iran actually go through with it? Probably not. It’s a dangerous gambit that will almost surely lead to a regional clusterfuck with the Iranians ending up on the short end of the stick. Besides, the Iranians don’t yet have the bomb (I hope), so they’re probably quite averse to starting a fight with Israel before they’re ready. The Iranian regime seems intent to string the West along with this sanctions crap until it gets nukes.

That doesn’t mean that Iran won’t give the Israelis a black eye if they can get away with it. What they might do is get some boot-licking Islamo-dweeb lackey state to jump in front of the bus for the Iranians. Any takers?

…I am no expert on Turkey, but I am prepared to consider the possibility that the Iranians have urged him [Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan] to attack, and that they swear to Allah that they’ve got his back. It would be folly to believe the mullahs, who love to gull others into doing their dirty work, but Erdogan might be dreaming crazy dreams about being the great liberator, taking back the Holy Land, and reconstituting the Empire/Caliphate.

Yes it’s crazy. But the world is full of crazies. And the United States is absent, thereby giving the crazies license to act on their nutty visions.

And there you have it. America cannot or will not help Israel in any meaningful way. That lack of fortitude is now seen by the regional bad guys as a sign that they’re now free to crawl out from under their rocks and strike at their enemy: Israel.

It seems pretty clear that Obama is perfectly happy to let Israel twist in the wind. America has done little since the Obamster’s ascendency to back down the mutual enemies of the US and Israel. In the case of Turkey, it’s done little to try to keep it in the pro-Western/pro-Israel orbit. Fail.

Prediction: There will be another Hezbollah War this summer. This time, however, Israel might be forced to fight not just the proxies…who are growing by the day it seems…but the puppet-masters as well.

Good luck, Israelis. You’re on your own.

I snagged this from Roger Simon’s Twitter feed.

Yes, I’m on Twitter.  That doesn’t make me a horrible person.

Does it?

Turkey, Israel, Gaza: Who Needs A Big Hug Here?

Posted by KingShamus on June 3, 2010

Hey Turkey, thanks for playing along. Here’s your consolation prize.

Turkey’s Islamist government, not known for its compassion to, say, Kurds in Turkey, has been shedding crocodile tears over Gaza for several years now, and helped instigate the flotilla fiasco. So I have a modest proposal: if Turkey is so concerned with the welfare of Gazans, why not let Turkey run the place. Israel doesn’t want it, and never has; it tried to give it back to Egypt several times, but Egypt doesn’t want it, either. Meanwhile, Gaza is controlled by a terrorist government that is both cruel and incompetent; and Israel is not going to lift its siege to long as Hamas is in charge.

The Muslim/Arab states have spent the last sixty-two years leveraging the Palestinians against Israel. Meanwhile, no Middle Eastern nations (with the exception of Jordan) have done anything concrete to ameliorate the plight of the Palestinians. The actions of the ME states suggest that they feel the Palestinians are better off used as a club to beat Israel over the head with from time to time.

Of course, Bernstein knows his scenario will never fly. Why? Because Turkey…and the rest of the Middle East…likes the Palestinians right where they are: Exploited by the terror-mongers and kleptocrats that surround them.

When will the Palestinians get the fact that they’re being used like a box of kleenex by every dickbag regime in their neighborhood? As I said before, it’s only been six decades. You’d think they’d figure it out by now.

As for Israel, they’re pretty much where they’ve always been-fucked over and hated by the world. The only difference is that nowadays, the US president couldn’t care less about the Israelis and they know it. What does Israel do now? What they always do-fight off their enemies under the microscope of world opinion that despises them and try to soldier on.

Good luck, homies.

The Palestinian/Israeli Conflict gets…meta?

Posted by KingShamus on February 13, 2010

Okay, so the Palestinians dressing like the N’avi from “Avatar”.  At least they’re not slapping on Xenomorph costumes from “Alien”, I guess.

JERUSALEM (AP) – Palestinian protesters have added a colorful twist to demonstrations against Israel’s separation barrier, painting themselves blue and posing as characters from the hit film “Avatar.”

The “Avatar” protest comes a day after the Israeli government began rerouting the enclosure to eat up less of the Palestinian village.

The protests have become a symbol of opposition. They often end in clashes with Israeli security forces involving stones and tear gas.

Israel says the barrier is needed for its security. Palestinians consider it a land grab.

The demonstrators also donned long hair and loincloths Friday for the weekly protest against the barrier near the village of Bilin.

They equated their struggle to the intergalactic one portrayed in the film.

Yeah, that’s kinda strange.

I mean, I get that the Palestinians consider themselves oppressed.  But is “Avatar” so successful that even impoverished Palestinians living in UN refugee camps have seen James Cameron’s craptastic movie?

I had no idea “Dances With Smurfs In Space” would resonate so hard with Palestinians.  Who knew these guys were such huge sci-fi nerds?

I snagged this article from BigHollywood.com, which seemed to be as weirded out by the story as I was.
