In other news, it turns out Luigi is really David Axelrod.

Seriously, have you ever seen the two together?

Spiking The Football Ten Yards Outside The End-Zone

Posted by KingShamus on May 8, 2011

John over at the terrific Sentry Journal thinks Obama might be emulating the most famous premature celebrator in Super Bowl history.

On April 30st the President made the call with the intel he had to take out the world’s number one terrorist, Usama bin Laden. Navy Seals were inserted deep into Pakistan using stealth helicopters. They superbly carried out their mission in within 40 minutes the architect of the 9/11 attacks was dead. On May 1st the President addressed the nation and informed us that Usama bin Laden was indeed dead. They had pictures and DNA proof to validate it was him. People hit the streets and celebrated as chants of USA…USA…USA rang out into the night. It was a good night for America and a slam dunk for the President. He was on top of the world. Then May 2ndcame and everything began to change.

We all observed a number of mixed messages about the mission and the way the administration handled the disposal of the body. First we were going to see pictures then not. Bin Laden used his wife as a human shield then not. He was armed then not. As the week continued the more perplexing it became in regards to the message the White House was fumbling around to get out, then all of sudden it stopped and mum was the word. No further communication on the topic was going to come from the Obama administration. It was decided not to reveal the pictures of bin Laden due to sensitivity issues. By Wednesday the seeds for a full blown conspiracy were planted and already sprouting. Was he really dead or not? What were they hiding? Why couldn’t we see the pictures? The tin foil hat wearers were coming out of the woodworks because of the way the administration handled this. My 14 year old niece could have done a better job. What was an easy score for the President turned into a Leon Lett moment. They fumbled the ball right before the goal line and made what should have been one of America’s finest moments into a three ring circus. And because of this we’re starting to look foolish as a nation.

Too late, John.  Just like stupid Leon Lett, the Obamatons have thoroughly fucked up the proverbial free lunch.

Instead of the numerous all-thumbs PR maneuvers he was a part of, maybe Flash-Bang Bringer Barry should’ve just done this.

Hey, at least it would’ve looked cool.

Which is exactly what the Obama Admenstruation doesn’t look like after a week of pathetic hand-wringing, ever-shifting stories and dickless cultural sensitivity.

Meanwhile, as Obama spent the week trying stretch a home run into a strike out, he also invited former President George W. Bush to an event at Ground Zero.  Sissy Willis shows us what happened when reliable media thumbsucker Howard Kurtz found out Dubya wasn’t attending.

Bush declines Obama invitation to visit Ground Zero with him,” twittered Howard Kurtz this evening, more in sorrow than in anger:

I wish he’d accepted. Would have been a nice moment for the country

“Wow,” we twittered back. A “nice moment for the country”? Gak. We ourselves had been on alert for the JournoList spin machine to go into high gear crediting the President and discrediting his predecessor the moment news broke that our guys had bagged Osama bin Laden over there on Sunday…

The Bamster’s lefty hallelujah chorus has been very busy crafting their “Obama is More Butch Than Bush” narrative almost from the moment the world realized Osama bin Laden was shark bait.  Liberals hate George Bush almost as badly as they hate themselves. They were just dying to see Obama take a victory lap in Bush’s face in the same way that Barry spat at Paul Ryan last month.  Thankfully, Dubya refrained from letting Barry pwn him.  For once in his life, Bush denied liberals the opportunity to turn an ostensibly bipartisan agreement into a gleeful back-stabbing.

Ironically, the formerly anti-war progressives of 2001-2008 have largely morphed into the cartoonishly patriotic flag-humping jack-off masters they called the Right during the Bush years.  The American left desperately wants to give credit to their Teen Beat man-crush Barack Obama for killing bin Laden.  Well, liberals are entitled to their own hyper-macho Barry=Rambo/Dear Leader fantasies, but not their own facts.

Just how much did lefties and their party in Congress get in the way of President Bush actually finding Osama bin Laden?  Not at all?  Please.  A teensy weensy bit?  Nope.  A smidge?  Think again.  Okay, a few times, right?  Wrong.  Try ‘Every Fucking Way Possible’.  Courtesy of Flopping Aces’ Dr. John–who did an exhaustive job on this–here is a sample of Democrat/Leftist obstruction.

Democrats call for investigation of NSA wiretaps

Democratic House leaders called Sunday for an independent panel to investigate the legality of a program President Bush authorized that allows warrantless wiretaps on U.S. citizens, according to a letter to House Speaker Dennis Hastert.

“We believe that the President must have the best possible intelligence to protect the American people, but that intelligence must be produced in a manner consistent with our Constitution and our laws, and in a manner that reflects our values as a nation,” the letter says.

…And, of course, Barack Obama August 2007

That means no more illegal wire-tapping of American citizens. No more national security letters to spy on citizens who are not suspected of a crime. No more tracking citizens who do nothing more than protest a misguided war. No more ignoring the law when it is inconvenient. That is not who we are. And it is not what is necessary to defeat the terrorists. The FISA court works. The separation of powers works. Our Constitution works. We will again set an example for the world that the law is not subject to the whims of stubborn rulers, and that justice is not arbitrary.

Barack Obama 12/27/07

They know that we must never negotiate out of fear, but that we must never fear to negotiate with our enemies ( ed note: you mean like Osama Bin Laden?) as well as our friends. They are ashamed of Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo and warrantless wiretaps and ambiguity on torture. They love their country and want its cherished values and ideals restored.

Obama Camp Says It: He’ll Support Filibuster Of Any Bill Containing Telecom Immunity

It’s official: Obama will back a filibuster of any Senate FISA legislation containing telecom immunity, his campaign has just told Election Central. The Obama campaign has just sent over the following statement from spokesman Bill Burton:

“To be clear: Barack will support a filibuster of any bill that includes retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies.”

Read the whole damning thing.  It’s that good.

This is the strangest most back-asswards Administration in recent memory.  They are scared shitless of possibly offending Muslim sensibilities, so they play the multi-culti card and brag about how they accorded a ‘proper Islamic traditional burial’ to the dead al-Qaeda leader.  Team Peace Prize hems and haws about releasing the photos of a dead OBL with a few bullet holes because that might make some Muslims angry.  At the same time, Obama and his ass-killing shills in the MSM and lefty blogosphere have a throbbing hate-boner when it comes to denying George Bush and conservatives credit for this victory.  Make no mistake, killing Osama is an American win the Left actively worked against for the better part of decade.

Until, of course, their Chocolate Jesus Man could benefit from it.

Then progressives have the nerve to wonder why people question their (on-again/off-again, situationally-based, calculated solely on the basis of political gain) patriotism.
